Abstract:
Just after the sixth anniversary of the WTO, how much progress has been made regarding the attempts at evolving material rules of conventional origin aiming to unify or harmonise the legal systems of WTO member-states? What response has the WTO's goal of establishing a global trade law generated amongst the 140 member-states? Many specialists, professionals and academics too, jurists and economists, officials of the WTO and other international organisations, will pool their analyses and proposals together during the present symposium. Au lendemain de la sixième année d'existence de l'OMC, où en sont les tentatives d'élaboration de règles matérielles d'origine conventionnelle, visant à unifier ou à harmoniser les droits des Ã?tats membres de l'OMC? L'objectif de l'OMC d'édifier un droit mondial du commerce trouve-t-il un certain écho auprès des 140 Etats membres? De nombreux spécialistes, universitaires et praticiens, juristes et économistes, fonctionnaires de l'OMC, et d'autres organisations internationales vous livrent leurs analyses et leurs propositions dans le cadre de ce colloque.
